ABOUT THE PROPERTY

In the heart of Saint Emilion in a South West of France, this château is situated in Saint Hippolyte from 1 hour to Bordeaux City. The vast majority of this beautiful 13-Hectare property contains Merlot. The Cabernet franc is also very important to the blend. This grape variety brings color, spice, and beautiful aromas. Its good aging potential mixes very well with the structure of Merlot.

The owner, Mr Michel Maillou, who bought this château in the years 2000 marks well his style through this 2011. He is also owner of Château Le Jard in Lalande de Pomerol, which is a concentrated and fleshy wine.

The particularity of the soil is chalky clay. There is extremely good acidity and water penetration as these factors are very important for the growth of vines.

Each year the château produces around 20 000 bottles.
